Vampire for the Overweight

A new TV series on SYFY, titled "Reginald The Vampire!", depicts Death with a brand-new appetite. When overweight treadmill salesman Reginald Baskin, finally, meets a co-worker who does not mock him, it is his own misfortune that the tech guy, Maurice, turns out to be a two-thousand-year-old vampire. Further misfortune befalls Reginald when Maurice transforms him to save his life, and Reginald wakes to find himself the slowest, weakest, and most out-of-shape vampire ever created - doomed to "heal" to his corpulent self for eternity.

As Reginald grapples with the downsides of being a fat vampire, unable to swiftly catch prey for feeding, mocked by those he tries to glamour, and assaulted by his intended victims, he discovers rare powers within himself that few vampires possess. This newfound ability arrives just in time, as the Vampire Council seeks to destroy Reginald, viewing him as an inferior representative of their race.

Reginald's transformation from an ordinary, overweight salesman to an unconventional vampire presents unique challenges.
